As soon as Green receives notice of an upcoming shipment or purchase order, a file is opened with an anticipated ready date.  Green follows up at origin for booking coordination. Updates are communicated immediately to the U.S. client.

• BOOKING RECEIVED

Green contacts customer to confirm routing of the new shipment.  Green identifies customers’ expectations, offers the best logistics solution, and sends clear and complete instructions to all parties involved.

• BOOKED

Shipment requirements are discussed with the customer to determine the best possible solution.  When ready, the shipment is booked with the airline and booking details are sent to the importer.  Green requests any Customs and/or PGA related requirements from the importer.

• DEPARTED

Cargo is confirmed on board and flight has gone wheels-up.  Any deviation from the schedule is immediately advised to required parties.  It is a Green best practice to file for Customs clearance at time of departure.

• DELAYED EN ROUTE

Green actively follows up after departure to make sure the cargo makes all connecting flights.  Any deviation from the original schedule is immediately reported to the shipper with an explanation of delay and options to expedite the shipment.

• ARRIVED AIRPORT OF UNLADING

Arrival is confirmed with the airline and connection information verified.  Importer and any associated parties involved must be notified.

• ARRIVED DESTINATION TERMINAL

Arrival and availability is confirmed with the airline.  Green ensures that the airline has received payment of all applicable fees and documents to release the shipment. Importer and any associated parties involved must be notified.

• CUSTOMS
(EXAM, IF APPLICABLE)

Green files for Customs clearance as soon as the shipment goes wheels-up.  If a shipment is put on Customs hold, Green immediately notifies the importer and starts gathering details required for release.

• DISPATCHED FOR DELIVERY

Once the delivery arrangements have been agreed to with the receiver and are in accordance with the freight-payer’s instructions, Green dispatches the shipment to the domestic carrier with pick-up and delivery instructions.  Green follows up to make sure delivery is in progress and on schedule.  Any deviation from the schedule is advised immediately to all parties.

• DELIVERED

Green confirms every delivery with both verbal and hardcopy PODs which are recorded in our system.  Confirmation of delivery is sent to the shipper once cargo is received by the consignee.  Green checks for damage-free arrival, and if required, prepares for claims handling.

Once shipment readiness is advised by the shipper, Green gathers scheduling information and confirms approval from international parties.

• BOOKED

Shipment requirements are discussed with the freight payer to determine the best possible solution.  When ready, the shipment is booked with the airline and the booking details are sent to the shipper.

• PICKED UP

Green notifies the shipper once freight been confirmed pick-up by the domestic carrier and is en route.

• CARGO ON HAND

Once the shipment arrives at the warehouse, the piece count, weight, and dimensions are confirmed.  Any discrepancy between the original booking and received goods must be addressed at this time.  Green updates the shipper with the status.

• CARGO TENDERED

The shipment has been delivered to the airline and confirmed received.  While awaiting departure, Green sends clear and complete pre-alert instruction to all parties involved.

• DELAYED AT TRANSSHIPMENT (IF APPLICABLE)

Green actively follows up after departure to make sure the cargo makes all connecting flights.  Any deviation from the original schedule is immediately reported to the shipper with an explanation of delay and options to expedite the shipment.

• DEPARTED

• ISF FILED

It is a Green best practice to file for Importer Security Filing (ISF) a minimum of 48-hours prior to loading onto the vessel.

• BOOKING ROLLED (IF APPLICABLE)

Any deviation from the original schedule must be reported immediately to the importer with an explanation of delay and options to expedite the shipment.

• DEPARTED ORIGIN

Freight is confirmed on board the vessel and departed the origin port. At this time, Green starts collecting documentation for review and begins preparations for the Customs clearance process. Green tracks the shipment for arrival. Any deviation from the schedule is advised immediately to the customer.

• ARRIVED AT PORT OF DISCHARGE

Green confirms the shipment has been discharged at the port of unloading.   The shipment will either move to an inland terminal, or will be made available for local delivery. Importer and any associated parties involved must be notified.

• ON RAIL (IF APPLICABLE)

Green tracks freight scheduled to move to an inland terminal by rail and confirms shipment is loaded on the train.  Any deviation from the schedule is advised immediately to all parties.

• CARGO ON HAND (LCL, IF APPLICABLE)

Once the shipment arrives at the warehouse, the piece count, weight, and dimensions are confirmed.  Any discrepancy between the original booking and received goods must be addressed at this time.  Shipper and agent are updated with the status.

• ARRIVED DESTINATION TERMINAL

Arrival and availability is confirmed with the ocean carrier.  Green ensures the carrier has received payment of all applicable fees and documents for release of the shipment.  Importer and any associated parties involved must be notified.

• DISPATCHED FOR DELIVERY

Once the delivery arrangements have been agreed to with the receiver and are in accordance with the freight-payer’s instructions, Green dispatches the shipment to the domestic carrier with pick-up and delivery instructions.  Green follows up to make sure delivery is in progress and on schedule.  Any deviation from the schedule is advised immediately to all parties.

Green notifies the shipper once the shipment has a confirmed pick-up and loading schedule with a domestic carrier.

• CARGO ON HAND (LCL)

Once the shipment arrives at the warehouse, the piece count, weight, and dimensions are confirmed.  Any discrepancy between the original booking and received goods must be addressed at this time.  Green updated the shipper with the status.

• CONTAINER RECEIVED AT RAIL/PORT (FCL)

Once the container arrives at the rail yard or is in-gated at the port, Green notifies the shipper.

• DELAYED AT TRANSSHIPMENT (IF APPLICABLE)

Green actively follows up after vessel departure to make sure the shipments are not delayed at transshipping ports.  Any deviation from the original schedule is immediately reported to the shipper with an explanation of delay and options to expedite the shipment.

• BOOKING ROLLED (IF APPLICABLE)

Any deviation from the original schedule must be reported immediately to the shipper with an explanation of delay and options to expedite the shipment.

• ARRIVED AT DESTINATION TERMINAL

If the destination is an inland terminal, Green confirms arrival with steamship line.

• ARRIVED AT PORT OF DISCHARGE

Arrival is confirmed with the steamship line.

• DELIVERED

Confirmation of delivery is sent to the shipper once cargo is received by the consignee.
