Aspen Institute Energy and Environment Program (EEP) | Senior Director, Ocean and Climate
Ingrid Irigoyen is the Senior Director, Ocean and Climate, for the Aspen Institute Energy and Environment Program (EEP), where she leads EEP’s work at the ocean-climate nexus and serves as a strategic advisor and facilitator for multi-stakeholder initiatives seeking to address climate, ocean, and coastal challenges. Her responsibilities include serving as the facilitator and project lead for Cargo Owners for Zero Emission Vessels (coZEV), a coalition of major multinational consumer products companies and other freight buyers working to accelerate the pace of decarbonization in maritime shipping. She also serves as the President and CEO of the Zero Emission Maritime Buyers Alliance (ZEMBA), a non-profit organization and first-of-its-kind buyers group within the maritime sector with the mission accelerate commercial deployment of zero-emission shipping, enable economies of scale, and help cargo owners maximize emissions reduction beyond what any one freight buyer could accomplish alone.
