Since 2019, Green Worldwide Shipping® has proudly supported Trees for the Future (TREES) in planting a tree for each of our shipments, customers, and employees. TREES trains farmers in a regenerative agroforestry technique called the Forest Garden Approach to plant and manage forest gardens that sustainably feed their families, raise incomes by 400%, and help put an end to deforestation. Green Worldwide is proud to announce its 2023 Q3 donation of 22,243 trees to support this meaningful work in African communities.

FOREST GARDEN APPROACH
Assisted by Green Worldwide’s ongoing contributions, TREES provides farmers a multi-phase, hands-on training program. The farmers dedicate their land, labor, and time to complete the installation of their new farming system. Over a four-year phased training program led by experienced local staff, the farmers learn specialized techniques to transform their land and livelihoods.

SUPPORTING WOMEN IN AGRICULTURE
Female farmers are an integral part of agricultural communities, leading the way to food security and economic stability for their families and communities. Women account for 44% of the farmers in TREES agroforestry programs. Empowering these female agricultural leaders provides equal opportunities, resources, and recognition to women in agriculture, giving them voices, and creating a brighter future for all.
