Operations Temporarily Suspended at Port of Houston’s Bayport and Barbours Cut Container Terminals

The Houston Port Authority has learned that someone who worked at both Barbours Cut and Bayport container terminals has tested positive for COVID-19. In light of this information, and in an abundance of caution, both public terminals are closed and operations are temporarily suspended while a thorough investigation is being conducted.  The Port Authority’s other public facilities remain open.

**UPDATE: As of 16:00 on March 19th, The Port of Houston has announced that it will re-open tomorrow, March 20, 2020 under normal business hours.**
