Just one day after the announcement of a strict 5-day Coronavirus lockdown scheduled over the Easter holiday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel reversed the decision after much criticism over effectiveness as a third wave of COVID impacts the country.

Shippers should still expect some delays in Weeks 13 to 14 as Germany observes a National Holiday.  German ports are still backlogged and refusing to accept cargo more than 72 hours in advance of vessel arrival.

Germany National Holiday: April 2-5, 2021

WEEK 13: March 28 – April 3 (National holiday Friday, April 2)

WEEK 14: April 4 – April 10 (National holiday Monday, April 5)
