On April 29, 2018, Day League will be hosting “Thrive Jive,” their second annual charity raffle and beer tasting to benefit the organization. Expecting over 150 friends and supporters, Day League hopes to continue providing free therapies and financial literacy services to survivors of sexual assault.
Inspired by dedicated volunteering of a fellow Green Team member, Green Worldwide Shipping has partnered with Day League as a Pilsner Sponsor for Thrive Jive 2018. Employees will be putting together a basket for the raffle called “A Night by the Fire,” highlighting camping essentials such as zero gravity chairs, s’mores, a fire pit, and more. Thrive Jive begins at 3:00 PM on April 29th at the Solarium, Historic Scottish Rite, Decatur. Guests will enjoy hand-crafted beer from local breweries and food from Atlanta’s most renowned eateries. Following the tasting, Day League is throwing a raffle for an exciting array of items and unique experiences that everyone can enjoy!
Since 1989, Day League, originally established as the Dekalb Rape Crisis Center (DRCC), has confronted sexual assault by providing care for survivors from the time of crisis to lasting recovery. Located in Decatur, Georgia, the non-profit organization has made it their mission to educate the community and aid survivors through every step of their journey. Services include a 24-hour crisis intervention hotline, hospital accompaniment, individual counseling, support groups, bilingual care, legal advocacy, prevention and awareness education.
