Green Worldwide Shipping, a leading provider of international supply chain logistics, is excited to announce its partnership with the University of Georgia’s (UGA) Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to sponsor the ExportGA Signature Series Program.

ExportGA 2018 is an intensive four session, 16-hour training program which allows export-ready companies to develop and explore new international markets and sales opportunities.

Companies accepted into the program will become skilled at finding profitable export markets, developing distribution channels, understanding foreign and U.S. regulatory issues, pricing and costing company products, submitting international quotations, processing accounts receivable and recognizing legal and cultural considerations.

Businesses are matched with UGA supply chain students that compete for the opportunity to work with these expanding international businesses.   These Terry College of Business students will work in conjuncture with Green Worldwide Shipping executives to help research and develop strategies for international pricing, market entry, risk mitigation, compliance and, of course, logistics.

“What’s nice is both the student and company are getting classroom instruction from professionals in the various subject areas,” said Rick Martin, Director of the SBDC’s International Trade Division and Manager of the ExportGA program. “They’re then using that information for a project that has a direct impact on the company.”

“We couldn’t be happier to partner with such a distinguished organization in their efforts to bring more U.S. companies to the international market,” says Thomas Jorgensen, President & CEO of Green Worldwide Shipping.  “Incorporating young supply chain talent in programs such as ExportGA is critical to developing end-to-end logistics experts that will understand a company’s greater goals and become long-term assets for any organization.”
