As the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues, and the humanitarian crisis persists, we’re growing increasingly worried about the wellbeing of all those affected. As an international logistics company, Green Worldwide works with clients and business partners to move goods all over the world. We respect international human rights and peace and cannot tolerate the actions of the Russian government; ethics, responsibility, respect for human rights, and sustainability are core to how we operate.

Today we’re announcing Green is taking the following measures to live these values.

First, Green stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian people in the face of Russian aggression, and as such we are ceasing operations in Russia.

Secondly, we are making a donation to The United Nations – Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund, which supports local Ukrainian nonprofits that are providing humanitarian aid and trauma counseling services and protecting the human rights and safety of women, children and other vulnerable populations.

As we watch in horror, we’re not going to stand on the sidelines as a sovereign nation is invaded. And while these actions are seemingly small compared to the nature of the atrocities we’re watching, even the smallest drop has a ripple effect that grows. Understanding this, we also invite you to support the Ukrainian people.

If you haven’t already and would like to support Ukrainian relief efforts, below is a list of nonprofit organizations that are working on the frontlines:

We will continue monitoring the situation as it evolves and hope for a swift and eventual ending to this tragic situation.

U.S. shippers should begin to evaluate contingency measures for sourcing, transportation, and logistics operations. If you need help, contact Green Worldwide Shipping to speak with our Global Trade Experts at greenworldwide.com.
