Following swiftly in the wake of Harvey, Hurricane Irma, the strongest Atlantic hurricane in over a decade, is a Category 5 storm that will impact freight operations in the Caribbean and southern Florida.  Port and terminals in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands will suspend operations on Wednesday, ahead of landfall. The U.S. Coast Guard also placed the ports of Miami, Everglades, and Palm Beach on “Port Condition Whiskey” as they monitor the storm’s advance.  Vessels have been advised to clear ports and the path of impact in the Caribbean.

Green’s Miami physical offices and warehouse will be closed on Friday, September 8th due to Hurricane Irma; however, systems and personnel will be available online. Phones will be routed to headquarters in Atlanta for any urgent support.
