USTR EXTENDS SECTION 301 TARIFF EXCLUSIONS ON CHINA-ORIGIN GOODS THROUGH AUGUST 2025

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) formally extended a series of existing product exclusions from the Section 301 tariffs on Chinese-origin goods. The extension applies through August 31, 2025, offering continued duty relief for qualifying products.

DETAILS ON SECTION 301 TARIFF EXCLUSION EXTENSIONS

The extension applies to goods entered for consumption or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after 12:01 a.m. EST on June 1, 2025, and before 11:59 p.m. EDT on August 31, 2025.

Commodities covered by this extension include:

  • 164 product exclusions previously extended on May 30, 2024, such as intermediate components, semiconductor parts, telecommunications machinery, aerospace, hardware, and medical-device components, along with

  • 14 product exclusions for solar manufacturing equipment originally announced on September 18, 2024, including wafer slicers, cell interconnection machinery, module laminators, and balance-of-system production equipment.

No new product exclusions were introduced under this notice.
