10 Great Freight Reasons to be Thankful

It’s about that time of year when supply chain and logistics managers feel the true urgency and impact of peak season shipping.  From time-critical deliveries to warehousing fulfillment, freight is moving – fast.

But regardless of how your inventory makes its way to the shelves, it’s equally important to pause and reflect on the reasons to be thankful.  As a freight aficionado and great lover of Ian Dury, I present my ten great freight reasons to be thankful:

  1. Cheap freight rates!
  2. Salespeople (like me) bringing delicious office treats.
  3. Importing the turkey, and then eating it.
  4. Black Friday shopping, despite knowing the commercial invoice value.
  5. No port strikes!
  6. E-commerce deliveries right to the door.
  7. Operations personnel that go above and beyond for my clients.
  8. Shippers finding more value and flexibility in freight forwarders (like Green).
  9. Moving all the holiday gifts and secretly knowing you’re Santa.
  10. Our Green family of employees, customers, partners and loved ones!

If your list is missing number ten or you just need a few more freight reasons to be thankful next year, contact me, Michael Minasian, at Green Worldwide Shipping.
