Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recently published trade statistics summarizing the total duties assessed on three key trade remedy programs: Section 201, Section 232 and Section 301.
The following is a summary of CBP’s revenue collection efforts; implementation of the recent trade remedies taken pursuant to Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 and Sections 201 and 301 of the Trade Act of 1974; and trade enforcement actions.

As reported last week and in light of the extreme impact of Section 301 to commercial goods from China, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) is requesting comments on whether to reinstate specific product exclusions. Public comment period will begin October 12, 2021 and remain open through December 1, 2021.
