GREEN’S KEEN ORGANIZATION SAVES PAYING THE PIPER

INDUSTRY: INDUSTRIAL MACHINERY
MODE OF TRANSPORT: OCEAN EXPORT
ROUTE: MIAMI, FL TO SPAIN
DATE: MARCH 2018
THE CLIENT

A distributor of electrical, tool, and safety products to residential, construction, and industrial customers.

THE CHALLENGE

Our customer needed to ship twelve oversized pallets and 32 bundles of 10’ pipe, ranging in diameter of ½” to 4”.  Composed of plastic and metal, the shipment was packaged and labeled to the point where our client would be paying extra costs for an oversized shipment. Realizing that there was a more practical way of packaging the material, Green experts needed to find a creative way to optimize the container load.

THE SOLUTION

To maximize space, our warehouse crew in Miami consolidated the 1159 pieces and twelve oversized pallets to fit into two 40’ containers. By breaking the original bundles apart and inserting the pipes inside one another, Green saved enough room in the containers to fit the remaining twelve pallets. In the end, Green saved the customer almost $4,000 by cutting their shipping costs in half!

At Green Worldwide Shipping we believe in going above and beyond for our clients because that’s the Green Way– and how we keep delivering exceptional shipping experiences for every customer, every shipment, every time.

BOTTOM LINE, WE SPEAK FREIGHT.  ISN’T IT TIME TO MOVE FREIGHT FORWARD?
