The eye of Hurricane Florence hit the shore of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina on the morning of Friday, September 14th. The Category 4 Hurricane decreased in intensity to a Category 1 upon arrival, but still created enough damage for ports along the east coast to remain closed the whole weekend. More flooding is expected with parts of North Carolina and Southwestern Virginia facing another 10 inches of rain. Because of the damage, almost all major roads in Southeastern North Carolina and South Carolina will be impassable for some time.
