After two weeks of heavy fog covering Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta area, visibility is finally clearing up. Operations at both WaiGao Qioa & Yangshan terminals in Shanghai are gradually resuming after almost 1,550 barges and ships have been delayed due to the weather.

The Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration has advised that it may take up to three weeks for operations to return to normal. Customers can expect delays to their shipments on the vessels affected. As of now, carriers have created void sailings to mobilize current delays.

The following blank sailings have been announced:

Heavy fog in North China is common at this time of the year. There is still a high risk of port closures in the area and customers should be prepared in the event of a possible delay. It is still uncertain if the port of Ningbo-Zhoushan will experience delays, but stay with us as more information becomes available.
