May 25, New List 3 Section 301 Tariff Exclusions

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has released a new group of exclusions covering List 3 products from China that went into effect September 24, 2018.  Importers may now request applicable refunds through August 7, 2020.

The exclusions are reflected in seventeen 10-digit HTSUS subheadings, which respond to 33 separate exclusion requests, and 61 specially prepared product descriptions, which respond to 70 separate exclusion requests.

ANY IMPORTER MAY APPLY FOR REFUNDS REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THEY FILED AN EXCLUSION REQUEST. EXCLUSION SCOPE IS DEFINED BY PRODUCT, NOT BY INDIVIDUAL FILING.
