ILWU AND PMA ANNOUNCE WEST COAST CONTRACT
The tenuous 13-month standoff between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) and the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) came to a tentative end during negotiations yesterday. Acting U.S. Labor Secretary Julie Su helped facilitate the tentative 6-year agreement covers 22,000 ILWU laborers at all 29 West Coast ports.
