STRENGTHENING EXPORT READINESS FOR GEORGIA SMALL BUSINESSES
ExportGA 2025 was delivered as a four-session, 16-hour export training program. The curriculum focused on helping export-ready companies translate growth objectives into practical execution. Through this structure, participating businesses engaged in instruction designed to support market identification, export planning, and the operational realities of international trade. Throughout the four-month program, Green Worldwide Shipping’s executives and logistics professionals shared insights into key topics impacting companies exporting goods from the U.S. In particular, sessions emphasized execution, coordination, and informed decision-making.

Participating small businesses developed competencies in exporting, including:
Session 1: Lessons Learned from an Experienced Exporter (August 22) | This session introduced participants to first-hand exporting perspectives, highlighting real-world considerations encountered by established exporters.
Session 2: Working with a Freight Forwarder: Your Logistics Partner & Logistics: Understanding Incoterms and their Impact (September 19) | Led by Green, this session explored the role of freight forwarders in international transactions and reviewed how Incoterms shape responsibility, risk, and cost allocation.
Session 3: Foreign Trade Zones & Duty Drawback and Free Trade Agreements with a Focus on USMCA (October 17) | Participants reviewed trade programs and agreements that influence export strategy, with a focus on duty mitigation tools and regulatory alignment.
Session 4: Supply Chain Issues & Challenges (November 14) | The program concluded with a discussion of supply chain challenges affecting exporters, including coordination, continuity, and global logistics considerations.
