USTR Issues 25% Increase Starting Friday for Section 301 List 3 Products from China

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative confirmed they are scheduled to publish a modification on Thursday, May 9, 2019 to the Section 301 Tariffs applicable to List 3 of product from China.

As reported earlier in the week, a Chinese delegation of negotiators, including Vice Premier Liu He, are scheduled to arrive this week, but troubling social media messages from the U.S. President were quickly followed with the official news that 10% tariffs on the third rounds of tariffs will increase to 25% as of 12:01 AM on Friday, May 10, 2019.

Shipper are urged to contact their Customs brokers and freight providers to review impact on their supply chains.
